Case Study - Mullagh Photography
David Porter is currently on a gap year but is working part-time at a filling station. He’s an active member within various clubs and organisations especially the Young Farmers’ Club, the Boy’s Brigade and is a keen drummer in a local competition Pipe Band.
For a number of years he’s had a keen interest in photography producing stunning photographs ranging from landscapes to livestock to attending various events. He began taking photographs on his mobile phone and in 2014 got a Canon D1200 camera as a Christmas present.
David comes from a rural background and when not capturing creative images from everyday objects he breeds pedigree sheep along with his brother and friend. He regularly attends agricultural shows, community festivals, as well high profiled cycling and motorbike events. What started out as a hobby has built momentum and his reputation has grown. As a result David set up a Facebook page ‘Mullagh Photography’ where all his pictures are showcased.
He continues to excel and his enthusiasm and passion for photography grows daily to become a professional photographer would be a dream come true. For David photography is enjoyable and every photograph tells a story for him he would love this passion to grow and potentially become a career.
