Langley Road presentation to local football club
Members of Langley Road Residents Association who participated on the Building Relationships in Communities (bric) Programme have presented footballs to Temple Rangers Football Club in Ballynahinch.
The Residents handed over the items to mark the end of the bric Programme which aimed to foster and build Good Relations in social housing areas across Northern Ireland.
The EU Peace III funded Programme was a unique partnership between the Rural Development Council, Housing Executive and Tides Training and operated in almost 90 locations province-wide.
Speaking at the presentation, Andrew Steenson, Chairperson of Langley Road Community Association said:
“The bric Programme has provided Langley Road Residents Association with a much greater understanding of the importance of Good Relations and its value in our society.
“We hope these footballs will be put to good use in bringing people together and enjoying themselves.”
