RDC is an independent Council of rural stakeholders who bring together, organise and structure the different and often competing interests of rural development so that the collective needs and opportunities in rural areas can be realised.  It exists to promote positive and sustainable change helping to develop and regenerate rural areas for the better.  RDC’s vision is for a living, working, sustainable, shared countryside. 

RDC’s strategic framework centres on 3 things: to deliver objective analysis, to provide practical actions and solutions and to identify and share best practice.
