Consumer Council hosts Open Meetings on Public Spending Cuts

25 August 2010

The Consumer Council is organising 2 open meetings during September to discuss cuts in public spending. It is an open meeting for consumers and you are encouraged to have your say on how these cuts may affect you, what you think should stay and what should go.

They want to hear from all consumers – people who are employed, unemployed, parents with young families, single parents, older people, students, carers, community and voluntary workers, those who work in public services, private sector employees eg architects, bar staff accountants and factory workers, farmers, construction workers, people who are self-employed and business owners - every voice counts!

The open meetings are being held in Cookstown on Thursday 9 September, 2010 from 10:00am to 1:00pm in the Burnavon Arts Centre and Belfast on Thursday 16 September, 2010 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm in the Holiday Inn, Ormeau Avenue.
