Established in October 2001, NILGA represents the ‘Voice of Local Government’ in Northern Ireland, with support from Councils and all major parties involved at senior officer and executive levels – it is a representative and an inclusive organisation for local government.
The NILGA conference promotes the sharing of knowledge, skills and ideas, as well as providing the opportunity to network with colleagues. NILGA members feel that this year’s event will be particularly important in the context of the Local Government Reform implementation process, as the second day of the Conference has been designed to focus on some of the issues surrounding the process. Therefore, creating an open forum for discussion, with representatives from many of the twenty six councils in Northern Ireland.
The conference offers sponsors and exhibitors a direct route, to the leaders of the public sector in Northern Ireland; including central and local government departments, local authorities and other high profile public bodies. The event will provide an opportunity to meet and network with more than 250 elected members; senior level decision-makers; chief executives; local government associates; senior council staff; senior civil servants; and key-note speakers.
