BBC Audience Council NI Seeks Members

05 March 2012

The BBC Audience Council Northern Ireland is looking for new members.

If you have an interest in BBC services - TV, radio and online - and enjoy listening to and working with others, then the BBC Audience Council may be of interest to you.

The BBC Audience Council is looking for people from diverse backgrounds with different interests and skills, a passion for the role and a willingness to commit some time.

The Audience Council advises the BBC Trust, the BBC’s governing body, to help ensure that the voice of local audiences is at the heart of decision-making at the BBC. The Council meets around 8 times a year and is involved in a range of outreach activities. Members need to have an informed interest in BBC services and an understanding of local audiences’ needs, be able to discuss strategy, offer advice and work with others to set priorities. This is a voluntary role with reasonable expenses paid.

Find out more and how to apply at bbc.co.uk/acni or you may prefer to receive an Application Pack in the post by contacting BBC Audience Services on Telephone 0370 333 1918 / Textphone 03700 100 212.
