Applications are encouraged from across Northern Ireland and from rural areas in particular. Funding in this round is for digital content development projects. Grants to businesses are available up to £10,000 for activity to be completed by 31 March 2012. Cross-sectoral collaboration is a key priority and it is expected that many projects will involve cooperation with other businesses across the creative industries, or with other business sectors (such as agriculture and manufacturing etc) and arts and cultural organisations. The second call opens in December 2011 and will be open to all creative industries sub-sectors.

There could be potential opportunities for organisations and businesses supported through the NI Rural Development Programme. Particularly in relation to improving the quality of life in rural areas and encouraging diversification of economic activity etc.
