BRIC 'Crossing Borders' Research Call

01 August 2011

BRIC partnership Invitation to Tender

The innovative ‘building relationships in communities’ (bric) programme which aims to put good relations at the heart of social housing is managed by a partnership between the Rural Development Council, the Housing Executive and TIDES Training. It is funded through the Special European Union Programmes Body’s Peace III (European Regional Development Fund) until 2014.

The bric programme is focused on empowering the Housing Executive’s staff to put good relations at the heart of their work, to help address the existing highly segregated social housing market and also encourage residents from social housing estates to be welcoming to all.

This innovative delivery model will place a new and distinctive focus on peace and reconciliation institutional capacity building within the Housing Executive, to encourage a more shared society.
Northern Ireland Rural Development Council (RDC), on behalf of its partners, now invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced consultants/research companies to research the following:

“Crossing Borders”- to research housing market dynamics and to establish the extent to which cross border housing market areas exist in the Border Region of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Also to determine the extent that segregation has impacted on housing market areas along the Border Region. Full advert and Detailed Terms of Reference can be viewed
