NIRWN encourage women to 'Get on Board'

'Get on Board' is an innovative course delivered by South West College which prepares people to serve on public bodies is to be offered in the New Year to rural women through NIRWN's support.

Women and in particular rural women are currently under-represented in public life. NIRWN's aim is to 'amplify and articulate the voices of rural women at a local, regional and strategic level' and one way in which we are currently working towards this is by supporting women to avail of the 8 week 'Get on Board' training course.
